Hello! Just one thing quickly before you press play!!
Please – make sure you turn the sound right up and dim the lights, this is a real treat!!
We were over in Taormina 2 years ago (is it already that long????) for Felicia and Alex’s wedding at Grand Hotel Timeo, the sister hotel to Villa Sant’Andrea. Both hotels are part of the Belmond group, so it’s no wonder they’re fantastic. Keeping up with the Belmond hotel clan is no easy feat, they’re blimming amazing – Villa San Michele in Florence, Hotel Splendido in Portofino, Hotel Cipriani in Venice and Reid’s Palace in Madeira, to name just a few, from just their European selection!! An incredible group to peruse for anyone looking for the perfect destination wedding venue.
Anyway, back to the sen-sational wedding in hand…
We fell in love with Taormina after that first visit and vowed to return. So imagine our excitement when an inquiry from Betsy & Brian for their wedding at Villa Sant’Andrea. Then imagine our excitement when we find out they are to be married in Forza d’Agrò, in the same church that Al Pacino got married in The Godfather. Then imagine our excitement when we find out they are having their meet and greet drinks on the roof terraces at B&B Villa Antonio.
And so on and so forth…
You must by now be grasping that this was no ordinary wedding. It was rammed full of surprises, treats and spectacles, and by the end, every guest at the wedding knew they had been part of something extraordinary.
Oh and just one quick last thing, because it’d be criminal not to mention them – the wedding planner was Karen, who was really lovely and worked tirelessly throughout (she also owns the Lemon Tree in Taormina). And the photos were captured by the charming bearded genius that is Brian of French Grey photography. He lives in Paris, but he gets around. And he’s absolutely wicked. Have a wander over to his website, and consider booking him, if only to have him at your wedding – the photos will just be a handy bonus 🙂
Anyway, we hope you enjoy it the wedding film,
