Embrace the rain with the top down!
This Hedsor House wedding video had a twist. When I met with Louisa + James before their wedding day, they expressed their concerns about the weather forecast. The plan was for Louisa to drive to the church in their convertible wedding car. To be more specific, their baby blue MG MGA classic convertible, with the top down – of course. But the forecast was set to rain. It couldn’t be done if it rained.
Fast forward to the wedding day, the heavens opened and the rain didn’t look like it was going to let up anytime soon. Louisa’s dad entered the bridal suite at Hedsor House with a big smile on his face. “Of course we’ll do it!! We’re British!!”.
I’ll never forget Guy Hearn’s expression as Louisa pulled up at St Nicholas Church, Hedsor, with the top down, wrapped up in warm coats and furs, clutching an umbrella and laughing her head off. Guy’s photos were brilliant, and all of a sudden, a miserable grey sky was the best thing that could’ve happened – everyone was smiling and everyone was happy. Lesson? EMBRACE THE RAIN!
