Kastellorizo, Greece Wedding Video by Destination Wedding Videographers, Kissing Gate Films

Greece Wedding Video – finally!

We have had many enquiries to shoot a Greece wedding video before, but for one reason or another they have never booked. Until now! Finally we got one, and we couldn’t be happier. It’s such a stunning country and a real joy to film. Jane-Elise and Lee’s wedding was amazing. They got married in the Agios Konstantinos and Agia Eleni church on Kastellorizo and had their reception at the Megisti Hotel Jane-Elise looked incredible and the venue was definitely one of the most stunning that we’ve shot.

New friends

One of the best things that can happen to a wedding videographer is really getting on with the photographer. We’re lucky that this happens much more often than not, and have made some really great friends in wedding photographers over the years. Ben was lucky that this happened again in Kastellorizo. Ben and Stelios Kalisperis instantly hit it off had a great time shooting Jane-Elise and Lee’s wedding together. Before long they were heading up a castle together with Stellios’ girlfriend, Konstadina Olivia Filippou, for an impromptu couples shoot of the two of them together (video to follow soon enough). For anyone needing a wedding photographer in Greece – he is definitely worth checking out! You can find him here!

More new friends

Lucky for Ben he also met another photographer whilst shooting GVs around the island. Always one to make friends easily – Ben spotted Mert Gokalp taking photos in the harbour, chatted him up, had some G+Ts and headed up a mountain to get some footage! Mert also kindly gave us the underwater footage for this wedding video – Thank you!!

Grace + Laky’s Barbados Wedding Video by Destination Wedding Videographers Kissing Gate Films

The Crane, Barbados

Grace and Laky’s wedding at The Crane, Barbados, was amazing. It’s a real privilege to film weddings like this. The barite took place on Foul Bay, which is just around the corner from The Crane. Laky arrived in style on horseback, and his guests flooded the beach with vibrance and colour as the danced around the horse. The party then left on pink and blue buses – so all in all – very photogenic!

Interfaith Ceremony

The ceremony took place on a cliff top, after cocktails overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Grace looked beautiful, and so happy as she walked down the isle to a sunny, breezy wedding ceremony. The reception followed, in The Crane‘s town hall, with one of the most amazing bands we’ve ever seen. Everyone was up for the party and dancing and singing all night long.

It was a total pleasure to be part of Grace and Laky’s wedding day, and to be able to film their wedding video, and also take their wedding photos – great double whammy 🙂

Enjoy! xx

Hotel Monasterio de San Martin, South Spain Wedding Video by Destination Wedding Videographers Kissing Gate Films

A Snowy Beginning

A couple of years ago we were on a plane on our way to a skiing holiday in Lech. At Gatwick we bumped into Lauren & Will, who’s wedding video we had filmed the previous year, and found out they were on the same plane heading to St Anton. On the plane we then bumped into my friend Asha, who I knew from Gibraltar from when we were young. Asha introduced Ben and I to her then boyfriend, Laurence. We went back to our seats and carried on the flight. At some point in the flight I caught sight of Simon – Ben’s friend from when they were young.

Pretty drunk on coincidence (nothing to do with in flight service) we chatted and quickly realised that Simon was Laurence’s friend (the guy we’d just met) and he was also on his way to St Anton with Asha and Laurence… Of aaaaaaalllll the planes and aaaaaaaaallllll the skiing destinations and aaaaaaaallllll the dates to be departing. Here we all were. And they were all going to St Anton. We were going to Lech. Clearly we hadn’t picked the party resort…

South Spain Wedding video here we come

Anyway, this was the start of a beautiful journey. Which ended in Ben and I flying out to Sotogrande, Spain, to film what was probably the most enjoyable wedding of our career. Not only are Asha and Laurence two of the loveliest, most fun and most welcoming people we’ve ever met, but their whole wedding party were the same. And of course Simon was there for added entertainment and joy!

Hotel Monasterio de San Martin is a real pearl of a wedding venue. With a huge pool and gardens to set the backdrop for a stunning ceremony and wedding reception, and a beautiful old house – any couple who gets married here is really blessed. The wedding planner Juan Carlos and the owner Dennis were also so lovely and accommodating. Am I getting across that this was a really lovely day to be a part of?

Incase the wedding wasn’t enough, Asha and Laurence held a pool party the next day at Sotogrande Beach Club. The day started off relaxed, as injured guests nursed their hangovers, but after a healing lunch, it quickly escalated into mayhem, of the very best kind 🙂

Takeaway message

Lesson learned from this whole experience – always book skiing.

Enjoy 🙂 xxx

Grace and Taylor’s Syon Park Wedding Video from London Based Videographers Kissing Gate Films

Grace and Taylor’s wedding was planned by the wonderful Meghan Fay from Extraordinary Days Events.

Syon Park is a beautiful venue for a wedding – lying on the bank of the River Thames, soaked in history but not lacking a modern touch – the Great Conservatory floods the celebration with natural light – which any wedding videographer will tell you is one of the best things a wedding can have 🙂

Hope you enjoy the wedding video 🙂
