Who wouldn’t get excited at the prospect of shooting at one of the most iconic hotels in the country? Renowned for its stunning art deco interiors Claridges is a real inner city beauty. And who better to celebrate within these famous walls than the gorgeous Francesca & Matt. They Started off in the equally impressive St Peter’s Italian Church in Clerkenwell, with what has to be the most heartwarming, entertaining and hilarious ceremonies I have ever witnessed. The priest, Father Carmelo di Giovanni, had everyone laughing their heads off the whole way through. One of my favourites has to be – following Francesca’s “I do”…
Father Carmelo: Are you sure?
Father Carmelo: You have no doubts?
Francesca: laughs and shakes her head
And if he hadn’t got my cheekbones aching enough, then Francesca’s dad certainly did, getting the entire wedding party merry with buckets of limoncello during his classic father of the bride speech (that may just be one of the reasons why the evening party was so frickin good!).
This was also my first time working with Jay Rowden, and it was a real pleasure to do so. Aside from being a brilliant photographer he’s also such a genuine and lovely man.
